Hands are a very public place to get tattooed. most tattoo artists are hesitant to tattoo people on more public spots (hands, face, neck) unless they are already significantly covered. some artists won't even tattoo heavily tattooed folks on those places just on principal. you cannot get a hand tattoo that is "hardly" noticeable..
